Hello. I wonder if anyone can kindly ID this fly please.
Locationawkwardubmontane virgin tropical forest.Southeast Asia.Equatorial.
Size:roughly 1.5-2.0cm.
Is it a xylomyidae or xylophagidae?or Something else altogether?
Sorry, I am afraid this is the only picture of it.

I'd put my money on Xylophagidae (but I'm not a betting man!Wink)

If I am not totally mistaken, it is a vermileonid (Vermileonidae). This small, but very interesting family has less than described 100 species.
