Hello, Could it be a male of Chalcosyrphus eunotus ? Western France, Loire-Atlantique, march 2021, 20th. On a Rhododendron's leave, sunbathing in the cold morning, at the south edge of a wood, near a garden. approximate size : 20 mm (under) ? Thanks in advance !
