Northern Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Damp, coast of Eastern Sea, near edge of a vacation centre, fallow ground, sitting at a flower of Rosaceae (?), Outdoorphoto: kuv, 2nd of August 2020. I'd say male podagrica, based on the proportions of abdomen. See for comparison pinned specimens by Steven Falk. Red bars show witdth of fore- and hind rim of T3.

Hi Karsten, thank you very much for your interesting message. Yes, "my" fly could be N. podagrica, but there was no hint in the Webside of Steven Falk that the proportions are a hard charakteristic feature. On the other hand the picture in the Diptera Gallery (s. https://diptera.i...to_id=2870) I think looks also like "my" fly. My regrettable result is - under these facts - to name it "Neoascia sp."
