Is it possible to identify the species of this fly by such foto? Transcarpathion region of Ukraine, June. Found on the meadow.

Since the dark wing spot has two tips towards the wing apex and extends below the large radial wein, it must be a male X. pedissequum or X. dives. A side view of the thorax would be helpful. However, dives males should have the wing tips slightly darkened, so my bid is a male X. pedissequum. |
