Very interesting, at a Pompilus nest. Paragusia and Hilarella are fused with Taxigramma these days, so it is definitely Taxigramma Based on the first pic, the topcel in wing has a petiole, would you agree ? Theo |

Looking at other pics from Arnold Wijker of the same fly I think there is no petiole (i could be looking at the wrong cell)

Well, in any case, it is definitely closed. Also, we can see now the wing venation is shifted towards the anteroir wing margin, but not as extreme as in the other species. Taxigramma hilarella. Theo |

According to Liekele Sijstermans, who knows this stuff much better than I do, this is Hilarella elegantula female and I do agree that the jizz is totally off for H. hilarella. At the time, I had no idea about the (lack of variability) of the black spots on abdomen. Theo |
