I took this picture mid October in my garden.
I assume these are Ptychopteridae. Is this correct and can they be further identified?

Hoi Niek,

I think this is Ptychoptera albimana, because of the white part of tars III.

No, I am sorry that I won?t be able to offer the confirmation other than Ptychoptera sp. The Catalogue of Palaearctic Diptera lists 15+ Ptychoptera species in Europe. Try contact Wieslaw Krzeminski at Krakow Poland for further id.
