It could be although it looks slightly different. We need to the belly of the abdomen to be sure.

I find close to Aneomochtherus flavipes. |

That is an option, but this fly looks rather small though. A flavipes is usually larger than 20 mm.

I have in collection A. flavipes. Indeed this species is large. A. confused is smaller, but on these photos difficult to say. |

Aghhh, yes it could well be A confusus. Again a but.... my specimens have a totally white mystax and Tsacas mentions that.....??? remains a puzzling specimen. Please get us a male :-)
