This dead bat pup was found in Sweden about a month ago. Is it possible that it was parasitized by some Diptera larva, like Calliphoridae?
Or can something else have caused the hole in the body side?

I don't know of any Diptera that are likely to cause that damage. I suspect that the bat had died, and was attacked by beetles. Alternatively it might have been shot while on a flight with its mother. Opening up the carcass should give you more information.

Thanks Tony! I got this picture sent to me, so I have not been able to dissect the bat. I can add some more information though, the bat pup (about 3-4 weeks old) had fallen down from a colony with Pipistrellus sp. It was still fresh and soft when found.
