Hello It's a Cerceris but who could help me to identify it. I would suggest C.quadrifasciata but I'm not sure. (I took other pictures if necessary). North of France Thanks for your help Denis Bucaille : France : Méry-la-Bataille : 60420 : 22/06/2020 Altitude : 123 m - Taille : 10 mm environ Réf. : 261114 Denis Bucaille : France : Méry-la-Bataille : 60420 : 22/06/2020 Altitude : 123 m - Taille : 10 mm environ Réf. : 261113 |

Hi Denis, I think it's C. arenaria - compare the stripes on the tergits and the hind femora. Eric |

Hi Eric the yellow stripes on the tergits and the black apex of the hind femora are suitable for C.arenaria but I thought that C.arenaria has a yellow dot on the T1 ? Am I wrong Many thanks |

Hi Eric I understand that the hind femora of the C.quadrifasciata would be roughly totally black but the hind femora of C.arenaria would be yellow with a black apex, is it correct. I add below a new picture which could perhaps help to confirm definitely. Many thanks Denis Bucaille : France : Méry-la-Bataille : 60420 : 22/06/2020 Altitude : 123 m - Taille : 10 mm environ Réf. : 261112 |
