Hello all,
This diptera was collected in the Sierra Nevada near Mammoth Lakes, CA. It has a similar body shape to a Diptera, but the longer antenna and lack of wing veins are making me question if it is a wasp.

Help identifying to the Family level would be greatly appreciated.

Best,
Kyle

Hi Kyle, it looks more like a wasp: perhaps one of the Cynipoidea (Figitidae, Cynipidae...)

Hope this helps a bit, Eric

Chalcidoidea, perhaps Encyrtidae, if not Aphelinidae.
