Hello all: This Asilid is seen today in Shanghai, China landing on my towel. Any ideas? I think it looks similar to Promachus sp. Thanks in advance! kevin_cheng attached the following image: [217.97Kb] Edited by kevin_cheng on 16-10-2020 11:59 |

Subfamily Asilinae, but not Promachus. Closer to the Machimus-group of genera. |

Hi Chris: Thanks! I kept the specimen. Are there any features that will help with the ID? |

It belongs to the Asilinae, something near Neomochtherus
