Hello,
In the south of France, June 23, 2019.
I hope there are enough visible criteria to make an identification! I didn't note any size but it is a rather large Asilidae.
I think it's a male and on a second post I put a picture of a female that may be of the same species.

Could the female in my next post be of the same species? (Asilidae 2 of July 24, 2019)
The general shape, the colour distribution on the legs, the white and black hairs on the head and thorax seem to be identical.
