Hello, dear experts,
these pictures are from May 30, 2019 in our backyard in Hannover, Germany. Although checking the gallery I have no idea. The fly is about 10 mm long.

Help is very much appreciated.

Hans

Start at Pipizini, probably Pipizella sp.

Very nice shots of a female Pipizella viduata. The genus may be distinguished by the ca. 90 degree angle between M1 and R4+5 near the tip of the wing (more acute angle in Heringia/Neocmemodon). The species is characteristic with hairs of the hind tibia about as long as width of tibia (longer in other spp.) https://www.flickr.com/photos/63075200@N07/sets/72157631392427350/
