Hello,
On November 11, 2019 in the south of France.

I see a small black spot on the tibia I.
I don't see any black spots on the cheeks.
On the clypeus, the black spot is very small.
With these criteria, can the species be identified?

On October 28, 2019 in the south of France.
It seems to me that it is different from the one in November.
The October one has a little black on femurs I and II. And the black spot on the clypeus looks pretty big. There may also be a little black on the cheeks. Do the black stained legs exclude Ferdinandea aurea?

Thank you very much Pietro,
Do you think Ferdinandea aurea is for both of them?
The one in November (the first two photos) with a small black spot on the tibia I, a small black spot on the clypeus and the absence of spots on the cheeks.
The October one (the last picture) with a little black on femurs I and II, a black spot on the clypeus and a little black on the cheeks.

Ferdinandea aurea for both.

1 Face with median black stripe from facial prominence (or from above facial prominence) down to upper mouth edge (ant.seg.3 deeper than long; abdominal tergites entirely pale-haired; hind tarsus with basitarsus distinctly longer than tarsomeres 2-4 combined) ............................................ aurea Rondani

Hello People,

This looks very much like Ferdinandea fumipennis according to Gerard Pennards. The very black antennae, the wek facial stripe. NO lateral black marks on the face. The very dark wing tips. And the dust pattern on the frons all point to this species...

Kind regards,
Ectemnius
