a strange visit

(First post, please bear with me)
I had a visitor this summer, and was trying to identify it, but that doesn't seem to be that simple and easy.

It's a robber-fly but that's as far as I get ..
All the joint on the legs are dark, all the rings on the abdomen are lighter.
Could someone help me with this, please?

(in attachment, the only pic I could take, it was preparing for lunchtime it seems :-) )
It's seen in Belgium (Flemish Brabant).

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
