I have a specimen but i didn't compare it to your photo. I'm only working off of memory.
If i remember correctly, H. illucens is native to North America and is, perhaps, introduced or accidental species. Maybe someone else can clarify and confirm this species.

Best wishes,
John

I've just looked it up -- it's South America actually and it has spread worldwide!
Thanks again and may you recover soon! I myself stepped on a nail this summer and wasted all of July Sad

Thank you for correcting me. I couldn't remember where it came from. My apologies.

ouch! stepping on a nail must be painful. I once stepped on a broken piece of glass in a pond and the glass reached the top of my foot. I was bleeding badly at the time. I tried to my sock on my foot and it was full of blood in seconds. My point is that i know what it feels like to step on something sharp and pointy.

My condolences to you, Vlad. I hope that you are feeling better.
Be safe!

Best wishes,
John

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
