 Helophilus? Greece

Hi again, this beautiful Syrphidae we found northern Greece. Found on 03.05.2019 at lake kerkini. I think it belongs to Helophilus, maybe Helophilus pendulus? Thanks in advance. Alex AliWi attached the following image:  [216.88Kb] |

Hi Alex You are welcome. But actually I may have been a bit fast with this one. You can actually clearly see the entirely black thighs and the only small portion of yellow on the tibia (a little lower). And that would actually make it a Helophilus hybridus. Sorry. It's still a male, though Michael |
