Well, as the title said this is a short-winged insect (possibly an immature) but I don't know what group. Can anyone help? The place is Suriname, tropical forest, 3 August 2016.

ID help will be appreciated!

When I see those 3 abdominal glands I immediately think of hemiptera, but I'm no expert. Maybe some assasinbug, ground assasinbug (Peiratinae) or some nymphal stage?

I think this could be Lygaeidae.

Too thin antennae for Lygaeidae, I suspect. I would also say, Reduviidae.
Best regards,
Jürgen

I agree with Reduviidae. Too bad it's a nymph rather than an adult.

Your invert guide in Suriname.
