I photographed this Oestridae in Susa Valley, Piedmont (Italy) at 2500 mt above sea level, on 12th August 2016. It was very probably hilltopping. Could it be Cephenemyia stimulator? Deers are very common in that valley.

Yes. Cephenemyia sp. are extreme hilltoppers.
