Hmm, looks like Phasia obesa (female) or Phasia barbifrons - from the size & yellow haltares  Would be nice to see the face or a dorsal view. |

Thank you very much! I have only one pic of this fly. Did'nt have the chance to make a second one. I think, after comparing the pics in the gallery, that it is a Phasia barbifrons. Regards, Tim www.ticor.be |

I agree that barbifrons is more likely but it's hard to say for sure because we'd need to check the colour of hairs on the gena. |
