Hmm, looks like Phasia obesa (female) or Phasia barbifrons - from the size & yellow haltares Smile Would be nice to see the face or a dorsal view.

I have only one pic of this fly. Did'nt have the chance to make a second one.

I think, after comparing the pics in the gallery, that it is a Phasia barbifrons.

I agree that barbifrons is more likely but it's hard to say for sure because we'd need to check the colour of hairs on the gena. Smile
