A friend of my sent me this Photo taken in NE Spain (Catalu?a).
Dont have very much more information, anyway I turn up to the forum to see if you are able to identify it.

Forgot to say that to me its looks very much like a syrfid and not a conopid as he says.

Looks like a conopid to me - the wing venation isn't right for syrphids and the general appearance screams "conopid"! Smile
