I saw this March Fly in Tayrona NP, Magdalena province, Colombia
date: Jan. 2018
Alt.: approx. <500m
Any suggestions as to the genus?

According to the revision by Hardy (1945), this is Plecia plagiata Wiedemann, 1824, which is probably the same as Plecia funebris Fabricius, 1805.

I checked the Hardy revision and although I got stuck with the key, P. plagiata looks like a plausible candidate.
