Hi,

another fly from Retezat.
seen two exemplary (this male... i think and one female... collected).
size around 6mm (with wing). but in general very particular species, at least for me...
i think one dolicopodid?

I would not exclude Dolichopodidae. It certainly looks like a fly that is somewhere between Dolichopodidae, Hybotidae and Empididae.

it seems some kind of Clinocera sp. (Empididae). Let's go see if am I right. Smile

after Fauna EU from 9 species of Cliocera only three are present in Romania (appendiculata, stagnalis, wesmaeli).
after Jorge's topic with C.stagnalis that species is impprobable so remain only 2.
someone know more?
i can help with one another information. the collected specimens have 4 blackish spot on the wing (2 and 2)

Agree its Clinocera but you'll need a good view of the genitalia to get it to species
