Photographed in Bergen,Norway today. Is it possible to get an ID on this hoverfly? The thorax looks similar to Episyrphus balteatus, but the rest of the fly don´t look like any of the E. balteatus I ever seen before.... Truls Lerdahl Tlerdahl attached the following image:  [274.61Kb] |

It is a so-called intersex (frons width intermediate between male and female; no normally structured genitalia [eitehr male or female]), which usually are much darker than ordinary specimens.
