I have no idea what this "thing" is. Any suggestions? Sorry I don't know the name of the large leafed plant either.

Location: About 30 km N of Stockholm, Sweden
Date: 2007-AUG-12
Habitat: Near a cemetary, so the plant vcan be cultivated

Edit: Subject changed (Unknown thing)

Thanks Jan. I looked a bit at the Stippen site. It looks like it is the common Coccinella septempunctata ...

The marks on the leaf are probably caused by a sucking insect, my guess is a true bug.

You are right. The Coccinellidae larvae are predators. No need for them to go sucking on leafs Grin

All correct:

both are puopae and not larva,

both are from Coccinella septempunctata,

and the marks on the leaf are not caused by the ladybirds.
