Good evening,

Would it be possible for someone to help me identifying this bug?
Picture was taken on July 15, near Vela Lagoon, Figueira da Foz, centre of Portugal.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Kind regards,

Fernando

This looks like a female Sastrapada baerensprungi (Reduviidae) to me.

Thanks Jurgen and empeejay,

I believe that empeejay is right. Looking at pictures in the web, it looks exactly the same. I didn't find it before because it was not in the list of Fauna Europaea for Portugal. Thank you so much!!GrinTumbsUp

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
