This pretty fy was last Monday near Benasque, Aragon, Spain. In medium Pyrenees at about 1300 meters high. Habitat: shady forest of Fagus sylvatica, with Pinus sylvestris, Corylus avellana and other trees. Size: bigger than Ch. intermedium. It sizes about 10-11 mm long.

Yes, I agree, but the name nowadays for this species is Chrysotoxum arcuatum!

Thenks everybody!

My fly looks intermediate between Ch. intermedium and Ch. arcuatum... but two votes for arcuatum makes the name almost sure!
