Hi dipterists Found and observed on the water surface of a pond covered by Lemnaceae (Lemna minor) This larva is 15-20 mm length and as I try to leave save all observed larvae the pictures are not so easy to be high-definition quality Oxycera calceata ? previously Hermione Thanks for confirmation   air fringe on the terminal segment  spiracles on the first thoracic segment sides   2 hooks on the ventral last abdominal sgement   ventral view of the mandibles and mouth parts  Head dorsal view  A last question Are they 2 GILLS, those white clouds on either side of the head ??? merci beaucoup SDS Edited by solito de solis on 11-04-2017 10:47 |
