Black Asilid from Switzerland

This black robberfly flew at ca 1400 m altitude near Malvaglia, Tessin (Switzerland). I saw it sitting on a wooden wip (correct word?). The surroundings are mountain meadows, extremely folwery, just about to be mowed. It is a medium sized robberfly, say 15mm. All black, except for the white beard. I've seen only this specimen.
