I have been having a lot of headaches concerning the genus Eristalis and its species. For example, E. tenax and E. pertinax are very similar. How can I distinguish both species and others?
Thanks

also Eristalis pertinax has a more triangular abdomen en orange fore tarsae but there are a lot more Eristalis species to get you a headache...

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
