Hello!

I'm not sure about this one (July-16, near forest, Ostwestfalen/Germany). Length 7-9 mm. Could it be Meliscaeva auricollis (male)? Thanks!

They both look like females to me, and not auricollis, which I have not seen with complete bands like this. What about cinctella?

I think you are right, thanks! I did rule out cinctella (which is abundant here) without taking a closer look at it, because I knew this species only with all orange bands - like the one below.
