Fairly sure this largeish (12-15mm?) hoverfly is Senaspis, not sure which. In weedy growth (mostly blackjacks) at the edge of hippo-cropped lawn on the Zambian banks of Zambezi, near confluence with Kafue, Lusaka Province, Zambia. Will van Niekerk attached the following image:  [168.18Kb] |

Yes, its a male Senaspis sp., could be S. melanthysana or close, but that's a guess....
