Hello,

This fly was running around in my kitchen last week, probably attracted by the light.
Size about 2,5 mm.

I can see the following. ta and tp are present so not Microsania. If ac are present then it should be Platypezina, but the wings are not brownish so let's suppose that ac are absent so Platypezinae. From that POV it's difficult to say whether tp is equal or shorter than the last section of M3+4 so we can't totally exclude Lindneromyia. But I'd rather say it's not the case. Anal cell is shorter than the last section of A1 so it's not Polyporivora. There I would stop.

Thanks a lot Black,

According to the Dutch checklist you leave me with 8 possibilities.
Looking at the gallery and at former postings I dare to exclude four of them, so if someone would be so kind to blot out another three, we would have a species name (I know this is not a very scientific way to act).
The candidates are : Seri obscuripennis, Protoclythia modesta, Platypeza fasciata and Platypeza hirticeps.

This is relatively common agaricus species Lindneromyia dorsalis. I'm pretty sure! Smile The date is typical too.
