Hi everyone, who can determinate this larva? I was far away from where it was swimming / wriggling around, so I couldn't take any better pictures. Maybe someone can help me - thanks in advance! Chironomidae for sure, but tribe uncertain. Could be anything, Orthocladiinae, Chironomini or even Tanypodinae. I don't think this would be Tanytarsini. For identification to genus or perhaps even species level you need to study, at least, the headcapsule in detail. |

Ok, thanks for the relativisation. Next year I want to start to scoop-net there, then it'll be much easier to take detailed pictures... |
