Medium sized flies (~5mm) with eyes half-striped.
Lately I see them often feasting on the oxeye daisies.
Photos taken in Crete, Greece, on June 10th, 2007.

EDIT: Changed the title from "Unknown fly with half-striped eyes" to "Answered: Calliphoridae, Rhiniinae, Stomorhina cf. lunata"

Thanks my friend! That was really quick :-)

I knew it would be very common, I see them a lot.
But I couldn't guess the family of this fly, so I didn't know where to look...

Now I remembered myrmician's photo from last year, that you had also identified as Rhiniinae.
