From Southern Norway, July 22.
Small size, smaller than Phasia hemiptera that was feeding on the same flower.
ID-help needed. Thanks.

In America these Lucilia-like flies with only one pair of postsutural acrostichals are Neomyia. I don't know about Europe.

Thanks John. We got two species of Neomyia in Norway, cornicina and viridescens. From this I suppose my fly is Neomyia cornicina, the most common of the two.

This is exactly the same in Europe ! Smile

I can't see if it has prst acr, but with 3 post dc it should be Neomyia cornicina indeed. The purple colour says : I'm very old now.
