This Doli was rushing around the leaf, repeatedly "standing on its head," or in other words lowering the head and raising the abdomen. It also flew from leaf to leaf every 20 seconds or so. Using internet photos, Neurigona seemed like a good match. ID feedback appreciated. This individual has a little injury / blemish on the dorsal surface of its throax? And any ideas about why the unusual behavior? Size not recorded, but not terribly small. Within 150 meters of the Ohio River, West Virginia, 25 May 2007. Neurigona sp, female. The genus is very diverse in N America.
