Hello Gert,

this is one for the Syrphidae subforum. Cheilosia sp., most likely C. albitarsis - resting on the foodplant of its larvae...

Hello Gert,

Cheilosia albitarsis has a rare sibling species C. ranunculi. Only males can be identified by the last tarsal segment or features of the terminalia.

Greetings,

Ectemnius
