Hi * locality - Silgueiros - Viseu - PORTUGAL * date - 2007.05.26 * size - 5 mm (medium fly) * habitat - openland; near Mentha spp, grassfield, smiley with many leafhoppers * substrate - suspensed in a grass. One of the most spectacular flies I ever seen. This is the second time I see this one. It has a very peculiar way in locomotion. This fly jumps.
