Hello! Does this small (3 mm) fly belong to the Lauxaniidae? It came to the light in our garden two days ago (Ostwestfalen/Germany). Thanks! Yes. It's Pseudolyciella sp. The central European species of this genus at (at this time) be identified only by male genitalia. There is some doubt on their status.

Many thanks! Yes, I had read something about it and have some pics here on my harddisk, of which I'm not sure to put into what genus... ;-) Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |
