Hello, could this be a Cheilosia sp., and if yes, which one, if determination via photo is possible? Or is it something different? Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), meadows near a creek 01. 09. 2014. Hello, Michael, Yes Cheilosia sp. But hard to tell what species when the photographs are without exquisite detail. This has the look of a male C. proxima. But no way to know for sure. Greetings, Ectemnius |
