Hello! Among the zillions of syrphids on the Solidago canadensis plants today here in Ostwestfalen/Germany was this one, that I couldn't identify. It was about the size as or a little bit smaller than an Episyrphus balteatus. Thanks for hints! Best regards, Jürgen -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Juergen Peters Borgholzhausen, Germany WWW: http://insektenfo... -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= |

Must be Melescaeva auricollis (or whatever genus it is currently placed in).
