Here is a picture from SW Sweden today. Which insect larvae lives in Ganoderma applanatum - maybe a moth?

Regards

I have got the suggestion in a swedish forum that it also might be a larvae og tipulidae. Does anybody know if it is a moth or a tipulidae?

There appears to be frass on top of the fungus and that would suggest to me a 'chewing' larva. So probably Lepidoptera, perhaps Coleoptera. If I remember correctly, I once collected such a fungus and reared some tachinid flies from it.

Ok - thanks! If I go there again I will bring it home and see if I can get the answer.
