Above water or wet ground? Tabanidae eggs. Usually Chrysops lays eggs in one layer and Tabanus and Hybomitra in multiple layers. There are exceptions. |

This was found on a grass. Otherwise, it was definitely wet in Serbia all of this season. Thank you for your explanation. |
