Please, can anybody send me the PDF of this work?
Hennig W. 1945: Platystomidae. In Lidner E. (ed.): Die Fliegen der palaearktischen Region. Vol. 5(1). Schweizerbart, Stuttgart, pp. 1-56.
Many thanks
Libor

I am totally confused... My Platystoma from Austria looks really weird. Very light grey animal with black spots. All tibia are yellow with three rings, all tarsi exclusively yellow. Has anybody idea, what it should be?

Actually, this is not a platystomatid at all. What you have is a Callopistromyia (Ulidiidae), a Nearctic genus recently introduced into Europe and now known from Bavaria, etc. Guess, we'd gladly publish a faunistic note in Ukrainska Entomofaunistyka about this finding. Contact me directly, please.

I can no longer send private messages (and maybe not receive?), even though my inbox and outbox are not yet full. I write, click "send" and they disappear and never show up in the outbox.
