Today (13 may) I saw several medium sized flies which I think are Tachinidae. First (VERY first!) impression is Mesembrina, but they are smaller, and when in good view you immediately see all the bristels! What a spiny beauty... Knee-high grassland with buttercups; Amstelveen, the Netherlands.

Zophomyia temula Smile Very distinctive with those orange wing-bases and shiny black body. Like a small, bristly Mesembrina meridiana Grin

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
