Hello!
I need some help for getting an ID. I don't have pictures and I will try to describe it.
I think it is a Helophilus species: male, 10-11mm, eyes meeting in a point. face yellow, with out a stripe black, antenna black with the arista brown.
Thoracic dorsum: black, with 2 broad longitudinal stripes, yellowish, and others 2 in lateral sides. the abdomen has on the tergite 2 yellow to brown spots, tergite 3 also yellow spots, but smaller than the others one and tergite 4 with a thin band, yellowish.
leg 3: entirely black, almost the base of the tibia brown. the others legs have the tibia and the tars yellow.
Catch at Satchinez Reserve, May, 8th., Timisoara.
I will try to get some photos too, but maybe you can get me an idea. I don;t believe it is H. trivitattus, maybe more hybridus (but the face it is yellow)
Best wishes,
Amalia

Hi Amalia,
if eyes meeting, it's again a Mesembrius. Wink

Regards.
Stephane.

Thank you again
Best wishes,
Amalia
