Hi,

Could it be a male of Tipula subnodicornis?

Not lateralis and not subnodicornis, because they antenna differ from this.
I think it is a Tipula (Yamatotipula) montium, but I not sure.
Send the picture to Jukka Salmela, he can determine the exact species.

Ok, Thanks a lot!

Regards Pentti.

P.S. I sent Jukka a private message, but he is a busy man.

This is not Tipula montium. It is Tipula (Yamatotipula) coerulescens.
Antenna segment 13 is as large as segment 12. This is only found in T. (Y.) pierrei, coeckei, and coerulescens. Tee other characters fit T. (Y.) coerulescnes as well (large OD as in montium and several other Yamas)
