Bull's eye ! (or should I say.... 180 !) Nyctia halterata, the 'face-Rhinophorid'. Even Seguy included it in Rhinophoridae. However, the squama are larger and... there is a distinct appendix to the bend in vein M. Never so in Rhinophoridae ! Theo |

Well, I know this 'friend' well ... it used to fool me a lot when I started with tachinids. Of course, since I started to catch sarcophagids I haven't seen any!!  |
