hello again .) the following fly i specified as 'Noriella sp.' on my website. my website-partner does not agree with this identification and he wants to check it up in this forum, so i do. i made this photo two years ago, near a litte biotop in d?sseldorf/germany. sorry, but i can't remember how long this fly was. thanx for help, best regards, maik Maik Mergemeier attached the following image: [69.97Kb] |

Hi Maik. It isn't Scathophagidae, but Sciomyzidae. Some times this flies look a little alike... Genus Tetanocera, male. Nice image, but not good point for species level ID... Nikita Nikita Vikhrev - Zool Museum of Moscow University |
